STUMMER meets tomorrow's specialists at the i-star job fair
If you are enthusiastic about technology and want to be part of a clean future, STUMMER is the right place for you! More than 900 pupils attended the i-star job fair to find out about job profiles in technical training companies.
Large crowds and pure enthusiasm for innovative technologies for the benefit of a clean environment: around 900 interested pupils and their teachers came to the i-star job fair in St. Johann to talk to STUMMER about a future and career opportunities in waste management. These are the professionals of tomorrow – the greater the joy at the genuine interest and the successful performance.
The local i-star trade fair is primarily aimed at school pupils who want to get to know technical training companies. Together with 13 other leading companies from the Pongau region, STUMMER was able to give them an insight into the world of work and show them what it means to be part of such an innovative company.
“Picking up the skilled workers and professionals of tomorrow and getting them excited about the future of waste management with all its prospects was right at the top of our agenda. Mission accomplished!”, says Andreas Reiter, responsible for the apprentices at STUMMER. “A big thank you to our apprentice Aid Cosic, who spoke on stage about his apprenticeship as a vehicle construction technician and the opportunities at STUMMER. His authentic insights aroused many people’s curiosity and showed how diverse the opportunities are with us.”
During the subsequent tour of the workshop, the young, technology-loving visitors couldn’t stop being amazed. The pupils experienced live and on site where the waste collection vehicles are made and what innovation in vehicle construction looks like in concrete terms. It quickly became clear that if you are enthusiastic about technology and want to be part of a clean future, STUMMER is the right place for you!
Afterwards, various talks on topics such as “Girls in technology” and “Career after the apprenticeship” continued to be informative. Operations manager Robert Streif: “We are thrilled with the many interesting discussions and were particularly pleased with the rush in the evening when more potential apprentices visited us with their parents at the JO Kultur- und Kongresszentrum St. Johann.”
STUMMER made a real star appearance at the i-star job fair with a view to young talent and the skilled workers of the future. There is already no doubt that the company would also like to address pupils in the Pongau region in this way in 2025.
