Opening doors to the future, innovation, and dialogue at STUMMER
At the end of October, everything at STUMMER in Bischofshofen was focused on appreciation, interaction, and openness – both toward decision-makers and toward the local community.
Two special events offered the opportunity to experience the factory, the people, and the ideas behind STUMMER up close.
Distinguished Guests from Vienna
Great excitement in Bischofshofen: We had the pleasure of welcoming Peter Haubner, Second President of the National Council of the Republic of Austria, to our factory!
He was accompanied by Kurt Katstaller, Director of the Economic Association, and Mayor Hansjörg Obinger, who together gained an impression of the innovative strength and technical precision made in Bischofshofen.
After a company presentation—from STUMMER to the ZOELLER GROUP to KIRCHHOFF Ecotec – the focus shifted to the future: the presentation of our new Hall 5 building and the ongoing expansion of the company.
During the subsequent factory tour, guests were able to see for themselves the passion, expertise, and sense of responsibility that goes into the production of our vehicles – vehicles that ensure clean cities and communities in Austria and far beyond.

“The visit by National Council President Haubner is a great honor for our team and our work. It shows that regional industry and Austrian innovation are also recognized and appreciated at the national level,” said Johann Streif, Managing Director of STUMMER.
Open House: A Look Behind the Scenes for
Just a few hours earlier, the announcement had already been made: Doors open at STUMMER! To mark the anniversary of “25 years since Bischofshofen was granted town status,” we opened our factory gates to all interested citizens.
Many took advantage of the opportunity to take a tour of the factory and see for themselves the production process and the people behind it.
Because we are convinced that the future can only be created by working together.
That’s why we open our doors not only to political decision-makers, but also to our neighbors, families, schools, and the skilled workers of tomorrow.

This shows how sustainability, resource conservation, and recycling expertise are put into practice – day after day, right in the heart of Bischofshofen.
Bischofshofen is our home – it’s where the heart of our company beats. We’re excited to show our neighbors and friends what happens every day at STUMMER,” said Johann Streif.
Living Responsibility Together
Whether during the visit from Vienna or the tour with local residents, both events demonstrated how important openness, dialogue, and regional solidarity are for sustainable development.
Only when politics, business, and society pull together can we work toward a future in which innovation and environmental protection go hand in hand.
